Pullman P72 No. 2935 & 2956
Former Long Island Rail Road P72s No. 2935 and 2936 are two of an order of 55 steam hauled coaches. They would have a long lasting career on Long Island and would become synonymous with Railroad travel on Long Island for nearly 50 years. These particular cars were built by the Pullman Standard Company in 1955. It was built with steam heat and batteries to power the lighting. In the 1970's, the P72s were rebuilt with generators to power the heating, lighting and air conditioning.

Cabooses No. 13456 & 13388
Missouri Pacific Cabooses #13456 and #13388 were built in 1950 in Missouri Pacific's Sedalia Shops using old Boxcar frames and trucks. In the late 1960's, the Missouri Pacific was doing a caboose rebuilding program. Old cabooses had their inside walls replaced and they received antennas along with a number of other updates including renumbering. The Missouri Pacific Retired 13456 and 13388 from service in March of 1981. Mr. Frank Fisher donated Former Missouri Pacific No. 13456, along with 13388 and a former P&LE boxcar to Twin Forks in July of 2019. You can read about how we moved them here.
Osgood Bradley Coach No. 4590
4590 entered service for the Boston and Maine railroad as in March of 1935. In October 1958, 4590 was sold to the Long Island railroad, renumbered to their No. 7526 and rebuilt into a typical Long Island commuter car with walkover seats and Black and White tiling, with green tinted plexiglass glazing. In the late 1970's 4590 was retired from commuter service and converted to a Sandite car and renumbered W-85. Unfortunately due to lack of resources and funds, the chapter is actively seeking to relocate the coach to a new, and safe home.

50ft Standard Boxcar No. 25624
The car was originally built as a 40 ft boxcar for the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad. At some point in the 1960's, it went through a rebuilding program and the P&LE cut it in half and added a 10 foot extension in the center. During rebuild, the inside lining was updated to steel and plywood and a new larger door was added. The boxcar was painted in P&LEs version of "Jade Green" and was renumbered 25624. In 1988, the boxcar was sold by the Y&S to Fred Cowan and he used it for storage at his business. The boxcar was donated to Twin Forks in July of 2019.

N22 Cabooses No. 63 & 64
LIRR class N22B bay window cabooses C-63 and C-64 were built in 1963 by the International Car company. When built, the N22B cabooses featured included a hot water tank, Kerosene stove, direct drop toilet and two bunks. LIRR rebuilt these cabooses in the 1970's. During rebuild, the bunks were removed and markers were added on both ends of the caboose. The Long Island Rail Road donated C-63 and C-64 to Twin Forks in 2003 and the caboose was brought to Riverhead yard where they have been stored since.

Jordan Spreader No. 437499
Jordan Spreader W-93 was built for the Long Island Rail Road in 1948 with road number 437499 for East end plow and Maintenance of Way service. Purchased by the PRR for its subsidiary, Long Island at one point was known for notourious blizzards. It was in service for about 50 years before it was retired. After sitting in storage in Speonk, NY. the Long Island Rail Road donated it to Twin Forks in 2001. Our plan is to paint it into its "Dress Black" scheme with the American Flag on the front to celebrate America250.
